O God, generous and loving Father, we your sons thank you for gathering us together, as we pursue the goals for which we were founded as the Columbian Club of Chicago. Based on our common heritage as Italian Americans, strengthen our resolve to maintain and enrich that legacy, passed on to us by our forebears.
We ask you to give us light and wisdom that we may be able to form enduring friendships, to benefit those who stand in need of our help, and to contribute meaningfully to the betterment of the community in which we live and work.
Good and gracious God we cannot achieve these goals without the required unity that brings success. Therefore, we pray that you will keep us united, supporting one another with respect and openness to all.
We make this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
